Operational Challenge

All of it was scattered across binders and spreadsheets. Answering a client's question about coverage or a renewal, or an agent's question about their own monthly production, took real digging. Adding a new policy meant retyping what was already written on the document. Agents visiting a client had no access to any of it.

Solution

InsurancePortal centralizes policy, claim, and customer management. Agents see monthly production and team bonus progress on a bilingual dashboard, new policies are added by uploading the document for automatic extraction and review, and the whole portal works offline as an installable app for agents in the field.

Business Impact

Coverage and renewal questions are answered on the first call rather than the next day. Policy entry becomes a review step instead of a retyping step, and an agent sitting in a client's office can consult the record without a connection.

A Laravel backend with Inertia and React delivers a single-page experience with server-owned business rules. Document ingestion routes uploads through an AI extraction step (IBM Granite) that pre-fills policy data for review instead of manual retyping. The PWA layer caches the application shell and key data so agents can consult records without a connection, syncing when back online.
